About Chris Frampton

Chris Frampton is a multidisciplinary creative producer, image maker and culture maven.

An award-winning alumnus of York University's cultural theory program, Chris has been creating content on and about the internet since 1996. A former feature writer for the Toronto Star, Chris's most prescient work explored the phenomena of lifecasting, digital communication and online gaming addiction years before they appeared on the public's cultural radar. A natural advocate and relationship marketer, Chris has created innovative blogging platforms for media, service and retail companies such as the North by Northeast Festival and CPUsed.

"Good work isn't about making it perfect. The world is full of technically perfect work nobody cares about."

Chris is the founder and executive producer at Flyweight Films, a digital content incubator focused on documentary films and story-based media. Chris's work as a director, editor and producer has been featured on several blogs, including Time.com's Nerdworld.

A noted editorial and publicity photographer, in 2008 Chris was awarded the PDN Faces award from Photo District News, the photography industry's leading news magazine. Chris has worked with celebrities such as Sean Paul, Bloc Party and Kenny vs. Spenny, and has been a guest photographer on shows for Slice Network and CBC. His work with Toronto fashion icon Wayne Clarke was the subject of a TV pilot, and he has been a guest speaker at both the Toronto Film School and the Toronto Actors' Symposium.

He lives in Toronto.
